It has been very rewarding teaching medical students from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. We recently completed a workshop on campus using plastic saw-bones to teach a simulated total hip replacement and a simulated knee replacement. We also “fixed” a number of fractures with plates and screws. Our future orthopedic surgeons will be better prepared.
